Mini Jawbreaker Palette

It’s Friday!

I was definitely a little scared of the colors when I got the Mini Jawbreaker palette, especially Hot Fudge which was the only brown but it was a cool brown, I don’t do well with cool tones, but I was determined to use it!

I wanted to try the purples but, it’s red shirt Friday so I went with this to avoid clashing.

The formula is amazing, as always. The shimmer packed such a punch when I applied it with a wet brush and it has a beautiful shift of orange in it.
Given the cool toned brown I knew I’d have to pair it with a browner lipstick and Colourpop Grundge was the perfect tone!

I can’t wait to use this more and to dig into those purples!

And for some reason, when I opened up the palette and saw the cool toned brown and bright orange my mind instantly went to Converse! I’m sure the star played a part of it too

Shop my stash

I’m still going strong with sticking to a handful of palettes I selected for the month and, fortunately, I selected one that fit in perfect for today’s theme.

I decided to shop my stash and only use products I’ve had for a while but haven’t touched. Here’s what I used

  • Too Faced original Chocolate Soleil bronzer
  • Too Faced Natural Love palette
  • Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation in 310
  • Lorac Blush
  • Tarte Shape Tape
  • Colourpop super satin lip in 951
  • Anastasia brow pomade (this is one of two things I use and didn’t have anything else to use)
  • Becca Highlight in Opal (not pictured)

Overall I’m happy with my look and I’m glad I got to use old products I used to love

Here are the colors I used from the palette

Disneyland Day

When colourpop announced their Disney collaboration I was over the moon. I love makeup and I love Disney! I got up early this morning and decided it would be a great day to go to Disneyland so I donned a pair of minnie ears, threw on Colourpop Jasmin lux lipstick and had a merry time! This is a little more dry than their creme formula but it isn’t matte drying and lasts all day with minor touch-up!

As an added bonus, I love that this shade brings out the color in my face

Sunset Palette worth it?

I never thought I’d pay $129 for an eyeshadow palette (and technically I didn’t thanks to my sephora reward) but having using this palette twice now I have come to fully appreciate it!

The colors are vibrant and a so easy to blend. I rarely go without brown eyeshadow or something to “darken” my look but this combination of just the reds and the golds was too perfect to add anything else.

I would definitely recommend the Natasha Denona Sunset palette!

Sephora Worthwhile Reward

I finally found a reward that feels worth it at Sephora. If you’re a Rouge member you can exchange 2500 points for a $100 gift card that expires 90 days after you exchange it.

Don’t snooze on this though, they sell out fast so remember to check the rewards bazaar on Tuesdays!

I used mine to get the Natasha Denona Sunset palette 😍

Make sure to read the fine print! Whatever you get can’t be returned or exchanged, unless it’s exchanged for the same product.
