No spend. For real.

I’ve tried so many times to go on a no spend, I’ve even tried a low spend, but I can’t keep away from new makeup.

Starting August I’m going to try something new. I’m going to stick to the subscription boxes only.

I currently receive Boxycharm, I get Boxylux every three months, and I just received my first month of Ipsy Glam.

I’m going these will hold me over for the month so I still get new makeup, without buying new makeup.

I think the only exception will be extraordinary TJ Maxx or Marshall’s finds.

Here is what I received in the July Ipsy Glam box

I’m excited to try the Huda Beauty palette and the Thrive cosmetics mascara.

My sister gifted me the pixi spray already and I’m still feeling it out so this second one might go to a friend.

Overall I’m exiting to try everything in the box and I think it’s a great value.

Mini Jawbreaker Palette

It’s Friday!

I was definitely a little scared of the colors when I got the Mini Jawbreaker palette, especially Hot Fudge which was the only brown but it was a cool brown, I don’t do well with cool tones, but I was determined to use it!

I wanted to try the purples but, it’s red shirt Friday so I went with this to avoid clashing.

The formula is amazing, as always. The shimmer packed such a punch when I applied it with a wet brush and it has a beautiful shift of orange in it.
Given the cool toned brown I knew I’d have to pair it with a browner lipstick and Colourpop Grundge was the perfect tone!

I can’t wait to use this more and to dig into those purples!

And for some reason, when I opened up the palette and saw the cool toned brown and bright orange my mind instantly went to Converse! I’m sure the star played a part of it too

Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette

I took advantage of a Beautylish coupon to snag this palette after I was able to swatch it in store.

I really like the smaller packaging, the smaller pan size and the more affordable price point.

I found that there was little to no fallout, even with the redder colors, and the shimmers applied great with a wet brush and finger. For the most part I avoid applying shimmers with a dry brush, regardless of the brand, to avoid fallout and get more pigmentation.

Overall I really enjoy this palette, the colors included and that it’s more affordable so I can feel comfortable recommending it to friends.

I hope they come out with more of these smaller palettes.

Posting

I haven’t been posting because I’ve been struggling with how/what to post.

I want this to be a place I can go more in depth with reviews and products but if I forget something on a day then I don’t post.

So here are my looks for the last couple of days.

I’m in the middle of moving and am limited to what makeup I have, which I’m kind of liking lol.
